Bepanthen® Eye drops form a sterile, preservative-free, viscoelastic, transparent protective layer on the cornea. Bepanthen® Eye eye drops contain sodium hyaluronate - the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, which, due to its properties, forms a uniform, persistent and particularly long-lasting protective layer on the cornea, which does not affect vision. In addition, Bepanthen® Eye drops contain provitamin B5 (dexpanthenol), which has the ability to strongly attract water; it both hydrates and protects the eyes and enhances the moisture-retaining properties of sodium hyaluronate. The combination of sodium hyaluronate (stabilizes the tear film) and dexpanthenol (moisturizes, soothes) ensures the protection and hydration of the eye surface. As a result, Bepanthen® Eye provides a long-lasting soothing effect in the following cases: • mechanical stress, for example during the use of hard or soft contact lenses or diagnostic eye examinations during; • harmful environmental exposure, such as air conditioning, wind, cold, dry air or air pollution, such as cigarette smoke; • eye irritation from intense visual strain, such as working at a computer, microscope or driving a vehicle for a long time. Preservative-free Bepanthen® Eye drops are well tolerated, even with long-term use. Bepanthen® Eye drops are also suitable for people who wear contact lenses.
